A negative opinion on the Armenian authorities has been formed and continues to be formed among many international organizations. This is what second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan’s French-Armenian attorney Sevak Torosyan told reporters at Hayeli Press Club today.

“One can make mistakes, but he has to accept and fix those mistakes. People abroad get the impression that the Armenian government has nothing in common with a legal state,” the attorney said, adding that some of his friends have already summoned by law-enforcement authorities just because they made careless comments on Facebook. Torosyan mentioned Interpol’s response to the Armenian authorities’ attempt to declare a search against former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan as a brilliant example of unbalanced actions.

According to Torosyan, there are many violations committed in Armenia. “The authorities haven’t been leading a prospective policy for two consecutive years and simply aren’t thinking about the future,” he added.
