The President of the Republic of Armenia does not support and isn’t preparing to support or endorse any political force. This is stated in the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Staff of the President of Armenia.

The statement reads as follows:

“Recently, news is being spread on social networks, various news websites and Telegram channels according to which President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian is allegedly pursuing political goals, sponsoring various forces and calling on boycotting the elections.

In regard to the news, the Public Relations Department of the Staff of the President of Armenia declares that the news is fake and inaccurate.

The views, ideas, remarks or speeches of President Armen Sarkissian are only presented on the official pages of the President.

It has been declared several times that the President of Armenia is guided by national and pan-national interests.

By performing only his functions that are within the scope of the powers provided to him by the Constitution of Armenia, the President may not be involved, is not involved and has no goal to be involved in politics, is not a member of any political party, has not represented and does not represent any political force.
