Bulgarian President Rumen Radev signed a decree on the dissolution of the National Assembly and holding of parliamentary elections.

President Rumen Radev dissolves by his decree the 45th National Assembly on May 12, 2021. The head of state will appoint the parliamentary elections for July 11 this year, the statement reads.

The Bulgarian President also signed a decree on the appointment of a technical government from May 12, which will rule the country until new elections to the 46th National Assembly are held.
