The Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev, on Saturday had a telephone conversation.

According to the press service of the President of Belarus, "The heads of state discussed the situation in the two countries, exchanged views on current issues. (…). The President of Azerbaijan informed in detail about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, conveyed Azerbaijan's position on the well-known incident that took place some time ago. Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that Belarus hopes that the situation will be resolved in the coming days. (…) a plan to start construction work in the region will be worked out together with the Belarusian partners."
