The EU is ready to use all the tools at its disposal to change Turkey's behavior, President of the European Council Charles Michel told Kathimerini.
According to him, he prefers to be careful about Ankara's intentions.
He noted that in the past we have seen that Turkey can take one step forward and then two steps back.
Turkey is a neighbor, it is a NATO member, but it is of fundamental importance for the EU to make sure that the country takes a more positive position in relation to common European interests, including in regions such as Libya, Syria, and the Caucasus, he added.
According to him, Turkey's position in these conflicts in the past did not correspond to the interests of Europe.
