There are accumulations of trucks in the section of the detour in Tbilisi due to the large amount of cargo transportation via Georgia, as well as construction underway at the Upper Lars checkpoint of the Russian Federation.

The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia reports that, if possible, freight forwarders may transport cargo through the Bavra-Ninotsminda border checkpoint instead of the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo border checkpoint in order to avoid accumulation.
