Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian on Friday visited the Chinese Embassy in Yerevan on the occasion of the Chinese National Day: the anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

Sarkissian congratulated Chinese Ambassador Fan Yong, the embassy staff, and the entire Chinese people on the national holiday.

"I am here to express my respect and friendship to the people of China. Armenia highly values relations with China," he said.

Subsequently, President Sarkissian and Ambassador Fan reflected on the agenda of Armenian-Chinese relations, spoke about the avenues for deepening cooperation, and underscored the intensification of contacts and closer ties between the two peoples.
