I believe that today, Turkey and Russia—Azerbaijan's two neighbors, one of which is Armenia's neighbor—have an important role in developing stability and security in the region, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, TASS reported.

"We [i.e., Azerbaijan] assess the role of these countries as positive and stabilizing," he added.

Also, Aliyev recalled that Russia and Turkey have set up a joint monitoring center in Aghdam, Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

"Every country must take into account the created new realities," the Azerbaijani leader added.
