The parliamentary opposition—that is, the "Armenia" and "With Honor" Factions—boycotted Tuesday’s session of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense and Security.

There was only one matter on the agenda: the election of the deputy chair of this committee. Artur Ghazinyan, a member of the "Armenia" Faction, was nominated for this position for the seventh time, but he also did not attend this sitting.

However, the absence of opposition MPs did not prevent the other—and ruling majority faction—members of the committee from once again rejecting Ghazinyan's candidacy.
