COVID-19 vaccinations have kicked off at Opera Square in Yerevan starting from 11 a.m. today, the Armenian Red Cross Society reports.

“Let’s get vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccinations have kicked off at Opera Square starting from 11 a.m. All the vaccines are available in Armenia, including AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sputnik V and Moderna,” the press release reads.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Armenia had reported that on October 24 at 11 a.m. an event entitled “Vaccination Day in Yerevan” will be held in the yard of the Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet at the initiative of the Ministry of Health and Yerevan Municipality and through cooperation with the Armenian Red Cross Society.

The aim of the event is to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations and raise the level of public awareness about vaccinations.

Volunteers of the Armenian Red Cross Society will hand out awareness-raising materials and individual protection measures to passers-by.
