Today at 3:10 p.m. the driver of a КамАЗ (Kamaz) truck ran over a female pedestrian near Yerevan City Market on a street in Yerevan.

According to shamshyan.com, the driver didn’t flee the scene and helped transfer the pedestrian to Astghik Medical Center where she died after a little while.

Since the КамАЗ truck is registered in the balance of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the driver is an officer of the Ministry of Defense, officers of the Military Police promptly arrived at the scene of the incident where they are waiting for the investigators of the General Department of Military Investigation of the Investigative Committee to arrive.

The Patrol Service and the Military Police are identifying the driver and the deceased.
