India intends to produce more than 5 billion doses of coronavirus drugs for countries around the world next year and calls on the World Health Organization (WHO) to recognize Indian-made vaccines as soon as possible, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking on Saturday at the session of the G20 summit in Rome.

According to him, India has always taken its global commitments seriously.

This commitment from India will go a long way towards preventing global coronavirus infection. Therefore, it is necessary that the Indian vaccines be recognized by the WHO as soon as possible, he added.
