Azerbaijan is interested in purchasing Pakistani JF-17 Thunder fighters. This is a key issue on the agenda, said military attaché of the Azerbaijani embassy in Islamabad, Interfax reported.

The diplomat noted that the Azerbaijani Air Force is making serious efforts to modernize its facilities, especially fighters, and in this direction, joint work is being carried out with Pakistan.

JF Thunder is a joint Sino-Pakistani fighter-bomber. In the Chinese Air Force, the aircraft is designated Chengdu FC-1 Xiaolong. The latest modification of the JF-17 costs just over $ 25 million.
