Timeframes for the opening of the Consulate General of Iran in Syunik Province of Armenia will be announced very soon. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri told reporters about this Wednesday.

He explained that certain administrative processes are required to open this consulate general, and added that these processes are in progress.

"Both the Armenian and Iranian sides must complete the process," the ambassador emphasized.

To note, Iran plans to open a consulate general in Kapan, the capital of Armenia’s Syunik Province.
