Elon Musk believes that humanity will set foot on Mars for the first time before the end of this decade. He posted his prediction on Twitter.

One of the billionaire's subscribers asked him when the first crew landing on Mars could take place. The head of Tesla and SpaceX was laconic and replied: "2029."

In 2016, the businessman already predicted that humanity would land on Mars in 2026. Apparently, he now considers these deadlines unattainable. Some users commented that even 2029 sounds ambitious and there is still a lot to be done to pave the way for such a mission.

Subject to regulatory approval, the Starship launch vehicle could make its first orbital test flight in the next few months.
