The UK plans to transfer six thousand additional units of weapons to Ukraine, including anti-tank missiles, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.

In addition to arms supplies, London intends to allocate 25 million pounds sterling (about 33 million dollars) to pay the salaries of the Ukrainian military. Johnson made the statement on the eve of the NATO and G7 summit in Brussels.

"The United Kingdom will work with our allies to step up military and economic support to Ukraine, strengthening their defenses as they turn the tide in this fight," Johnson said.

According to the British prime minister's office, during meetings in Brussels, Johnson will try to press Western allies to "speed up" their response to Moscow's actions.
