Azerbaijani defense minister Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by MP James Heappey, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for the Armed Forces), who is in Baku on an official visit, Haqqin.az reported, citing the Azerbaijani defense ministry's press service.

The Azerbaijani defense minister provided "detailed information” on “the situation in the Karabakh economic zone and on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border," and thanked the UK for its assistance in demining.

For his part, Heappey noted that mutual visits and meetings between the two countries are significant for the expansion of bilateral relations.

Let us note, however, that the situation is not as peaceful as described in this report. Azerbaijan is constantly carrying out provocations—by shelling Armenian villages—, has invaded the territory of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and does not want to fulfill the provisions of the trilateral statement—and blaming everyone and everything at the same time.
