The conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov took place on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at the parliament on Wednesday.

According to the FM, they touched upon the issues that has been discussed over the past year.

“This was also recorded following the results of the meeting in Brussels,” the Foreign Minister said.

Armenia is considering the settlement of the Karabakh conflict in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group, but the contradictions that arose between the co-chairing countries did not allow for the necessary discussions, he added.

“The Armenian side cannot allow a vacuum to form on this issue. There is no Armenian-Azerbaijani format. There was only a conversation between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries,” Mirzoyan added.
