The members of the CIS joint advisory committee on disarmament matters discussed security issues, and reaffirmed their readiness to continue working to harmonize positions to ensure lasting peace and international security. This is noted in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

An exchange of views took place on issues of security guarantees, arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation.

Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the CIS Executive Committee took part in the meeting.
