Within the framework of his official visit to Qatar, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met in Doha with the Father Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Prime Minister's Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Pashinyan presented the Order of Friendship of Armenia to the Father Emir of Qatar, which was awarded to him for his significant services in strengthening and developing political, economic, scientific and educational cooperation, cultural and religious mutual understanding, as well as friendly ties between the two peoples.

Father Emir thanked for the award, and stressed that he will continue to make greater efforts to contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries and peoples.

Prime Minister Pashinyan and Father Emir referred to the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries. The sides attached importance to the preservation of intensive ties, in order to make the Armenian-Qatari cooperation more multifaceted.

Several other matters of regional and international significance were also discussed.
