Messenger Hangouts from Google will stop its work in November 2022, the announcement appeared on the website of the publication The Verge.

It is noted that users of this messenger will be automatically transferred to another service - Google Chat.

According to the publication, users of Hangouts mobile application will receive notifications with the proposal to download Google Chat "in the near future". Users of Hangouts Web version, on the other hand, will face notifications about the imminent transfer of their data to Google Chat starting in July.

Google assures that all chats and their content will be migrated to Google Chat automatically in November. For those who don't want to wait for the "X" day, Google suggests using the Takeout program to organize your own "move".

The Verge notes that Hangouts is not the first chat room that Google has ordered to live a long time this year. Prior to that, the IT giant shut down another of its projects called Google Talk.
