At Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the government made amendments and addenda to one of its previous decisions—and in order to restore the right for citizens of a number of countries to obtain entry visas to Armenia at the latter’s state borders, and to facilitate obtaining Armenian entry visas for the nationals of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Vietnam.

According to the respective substantiation, as a result of the amendment and addendum made by a previous decision by the Armenia government—and due to the COVID-19 situation, the possibility of obtaining an entry visa to Armenia at the latter’s state border crossing points was lifted, except for family members of Armenian citizens and Armenians by nationality.

But amid the mitigation of the COVID-19 situation, the need to maintain the aforementioned restriction is gone.

Also, the new decision proposes to remove Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Vietnam from the list of countries whose citizens can be issued Armenian entry visas only by invitation—and from Armenia’s diplomatic missions and consulates abroad.
