The Russian business investment projects, the total amount of which is about $1 billion dollars, will remain in force in Armenia. Dmitry Volvach, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development, told about this to a press conference Tuesday.

According to him, such intentions of the Russian business were announced a year ago, but this package has changed now.

"Some companies have reviewed their projects, some canceled [them] altogether. Instead, new ones have appeared. However, the total amount is approximately the same. There is a willingness to make investments, and we are working with our Armenian partners to create more comfortable conditions," the Russian deputy minister of economic development emphasized.

Volvach added that Russian business is ready to invest in Armenia even in the current instability.

"It knows that Russian-Armenian relations are being built for the strengthening of both countries and for a very long-term perspective. There are dozens of such investment projects," the Russian official assured.
