YEREVAN. – The seismological network of Armenia on Monday recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 in Iran, at 4:37pm local time, 24 kilometers southwest of Khoy city, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremor measured magnitude 6 to 7 at the epicenter, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The seismic activity was felt in Armenia, too—in Kapan and Meghri cities of Syunik Province.
