U.S. State Department Director for Caucasus Affairs and Regional Conflicts Mark Cameron visited Vardenis and Sotk of Gegharkunik province, Armenia ,the press service of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia informed NEWS.am.

Cameron met with the commander of Armenia's second army corps and familiarized with the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

During the visit, the State Department spokesman expressed U.S. support for Armenia's sovereignty and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
