The proposals being worded by the Western countries are also not unacceptable to Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at Saturday’s congress of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract Party.

"Their essence is as follows: According to one of the options, it is said: ‘Let's not focus too much on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, in fact, let’s consider this the status quo, and resolve the matter of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.’ The other approach is that, ‘Let’s go, resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.’ Here a question may arise as to which of the parties considers Nagorno-Karabakh a part of Azerbaijan and who does not consider [it] a part of Azerbaijan.

Sadly, the international community, all states—without exception—consider Karabakh a part of Azerbaijan. If there is a country in the world that does not consider Karabakh to be a part of Azerbaijan, let it express this publicly. Let no one create an impression that the situation is different," the Armenian PM said.
