A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded in western of Turkey, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre informed.

The epicenter of this seismic activity was located 10 kilometers southeast of the city of Izmir, on the coast of the Aegean Sea, and 10 kilometers beneath the surface.

There are no reports on any casualties, injuries or damage.
