President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on Friday received Toivo Klaar, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia. This is reported by the Azerbaijani media—and citing Aliyev's official website.

On Thursday, Klaar, announcing his visit to the Azerbaijani Baku, had said that he was leaving for "important meetings" there.

And before his meeting with the EU's special representative, Aliyev had announced that he will not go to Brussels for negotiations if French President Emmanuel Macron will be there, too.
