Baghdad will try to improve relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said, reports Mehr.

Stressing that Iraq believes that stability in the region will be achieved by easing tensions, al-Sudani added that Baghdad will try to bring the views of Tehran and Riyadh closer together. "We believe that dialogue is the only way to reach agreements between the two countries," he stressed.

Five rounds of dialogue between Iran and Saudi Arabia have taken place in Baghdad so far, and former Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi visited Saudi Arabia and Iran a few months ago in connection with this.

Recently, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran is ready to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia and reopen embassies when Riyadh is ready.
