Iravunk daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Deputy speaker of the RA NA [(National Assembly)], chairman of the CSTO PA Political Affairs and International Cooperation Committee, head of the Armenian delegation Hakob Arshakyan, chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan, and chair of the [RA NA] Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Eduard Aghajanyan attended—in Moscow in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation—the second consultation of the chairs of the committees (commissions) of the parliaments of the CSTO member countries.

According to Iravunk’s information, within the framework of the agenda issues, Armenia's expectations from the CSTO were addressed, in particular, the issue of deploying a CSTO monitoring mission in Armenia, during which Andranik Kocharyan emphasized the same thesis that [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan had announced at the CSTO summit, noting that they consider it necessary first, a clear political assessment of the fact of Azerbaijan's aggression.

As for why the EU monitoring mission is coming to Armenia without making a political assessment, no articulate comment has been made by the [ruling majority] CC [(Civil Contract) faction in the NA] members until now.
