Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has stated that the country is ready to join the European Union, but he is not going to study the issue of joining NATO. His remarks came at a session of the National Assembly, RTS TV channel reported.

"Serbia is on the European path, and as for Atlantic integration, Serbia does not want to join NATO. Serbia wants to jealously guard its military neutrality and strengthen it. There is a difference between European integration and Atlantic integration," the President said.

The day before, Vucic said that the West threatens Vucic not to join the European Union if he rejects the Kosovo settlement. According to him, in addition to threatening Serbia with non-membership in the EU, representatives of some countries noted that they would deprive the republic of all investments.
