Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay stated that in connection with the earthquakes, the Prosecutor's Office on the instructions of the Ministry of Justice of the country established departments to investigate crimes in 10 affected provinces, Anadolu reported.

He noted that the responsibility of 131 suspects in the collapse of buildings during the earthquakes has been established - one has been arrested, and arrest warrants have been issued for another 113 people.

Meanwhile, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum said inspections had been conducted on 171,882 buildings in 10 provinces.

He added that of the buildings surveyed, 122,279 structures were slightly damaged and undamaged.

According to the latest figures, the death toll from earthquakes in Turkey has exceeded 24,600.
