Rescuers in the Turkish city of Adıyaman were able to pull a four-year-old Miray girl alive from under the rubble. Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu announced this on his Twitter page on Monday.

"At 178 hours after the Adıyaman earthquake, four-year-old Mirai was rescued. She is alive and well," he wrote.

According to the latest figures, the Feb. 6 earthquakes in southeastern Turkey killed 31,643 people and affected 80,278. 6,444 buildings were destroyed. Rescue efforts are still underway in the region and debris removal is underway. Rescuers are still registering signs of life under piles of concrete, even though more than a week has passed since the collapse and temperatures plunged to sub-zero levels at night.
