So moving to see decades of animosity set aside to help people in desperate need. Samantha Power, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) stated this, reacting to the news that Armenia has sent humanitarian aid as well as a search and rescue team to earthquake-ravaged Turkey. 

“For the 1st time in 35 yrs, a border crossing btwn [(between)] Armenia and Türkiye [(Turkey)] has been opened so aid can reach earthquake victims. Armenia is sending through 100 tons of supplies, and a search & rescue team,” Power added on Twitter.
