Mercedes-Benz posted a record €14.8 billion net profit in 2022, up 34% despite the German carmaker's exit from the Russian market, according to the company's financial report.

Revenue from continuing operations was 150 billion euros, an increase of 12% over 12 months. The fourth quarter of last year was also successful for the company. During this period the manufacturer increased its profit by 16% to €41 billion. Moreover, net profit of the concern increased to €4 billion (+63%), the document specifies.

During the last year the company sold most of its cars in Asian countries. The manufacturer received most of the proceeds from Chinese buyers. During 12 months, 753,851 cars (+3%) were bought in this country, and in the entire region - 988,210 units (+6%), the report says.
