Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will leave for Syria on February 23 to send the third batch of humanitarian aid to the regions affected by the devastating earthquake, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Vahan Hounanian told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During his visit, Mirzoyan will hold meetings with Syrian President and Foreign Minister.

February 6 Turkey was hit by a devastating earthquake. Earthquake shocks were felt in neighboring states, including Syria. The death toll in that country has already exceeded 8,500.

Armenia sent humanitarian aid shipments to Syria on February 8 and 14.
