At present, there are no problems with transit cargo transportation to the Russian Federation through the territory of Turkey, the Eurasian Association of Railway Freight Members (EARFM) reports, Interfax reports.

"There are no load restrictions, the disruption that occurred is actually related to software updates; and our agents confirm it. At the moment, we do not know anything about new disruptions in logistics," said Stanislav Stankevich, executive director of Trans Synergy company which is part of the EARFM, reported the press service of EARFM.

According to him, the incidents that took place did not in any way affect the amount of the aforesaid company’s sea cargo transportation from Istanbul to Novorossiysk.

It was reported earlier that Turkey stopped without warning the transit of goods under sanctions going to Russia through its territory, and the customs system blocked their customs clearance. Freight market participants have not received official notifications in this regard. Bloomberg, citing a high-ranking Turkish official, reported that since March 1, the Turkish government has stopped the transit of goods under sanctions.

The EARFM was established by Russia's largest container operators. The companies that are part of this association own approximately 90% of the equipped train cars that are operated in the Russian railway network, more than 80% of the total capacity of transport and logistics centers, and about 60% of the capacity of sea container terminals in Russia.
