Andranik Kocharyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, did not rule out—on Tuesday speaking with reporters at the NA—the possibility that the former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Onik Gasparyan, will be called again to the NA Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020.

"The questions we had during the session were answered by the former Chief of General Staff. It is possible to call a second, third time; I do not exclude it. Questions may arise after each invitee, as a result of which we can invite people again to get clarifications," said Kocharyan.

According to him, what Gasparyan had said at the NA inquiry committee for studying the circumstances of the 44-day war in 2020 has no contradiction with PM Nikol Pashinyan's statement today.

When asked why Pashinyan had said on November 9, 2020 that the battles for Shushi city of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) were continuing if Shushi's fate was already clear on the 7th of the month, Kocharyan said that the information coming from Shushi in those days was contradictory.

"After Mr. Pashinyan, there are many important officials whom we will invite [to the NA Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020]; for example, to the President of the Republic of Artsakh," Kocharyan added, in particular.
