Anne-Laurence Petel, a member of the France-Armenia friendship group, has condemned Azerbaijan's latest aggressive provocation against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
"On behalf of the France-Armenia friendship group, I strongly condemn the Azerbaijani attack, as a result of which 4 soldiers from Artsakh were killed last night. Although the [Azerbaijani] blockade [of Artsakh] continues for 200 days already, [Azerbaijani president] Aliyev once again shows his plans for the [Armenian] ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh. What do [President of the European Commission Ursula] von der Leyen and [President of the European Council] Charles Michel think about this ‘reliable partner?’” Petel wrote on Twitter.
