Turkish VP and Finance Minister will travel to Qatar on Saturday to discuss "economic cooperation opportunities" with its leaders ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's July 17-19 trip to the Persian Gulf, Reuters reports, citing Turkish government.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Finance and Treasury Mehmet Şimşek will meet with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and delegations over the weekend to discuss economic ties and strengthening relations.

According to the recent report by Reuters, Turkey expects Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE to invest around US$10 billion initially and US$30 billion overall in its energy, infrastructure and defense sectors.
