Armenia is in daily contact with both EU and US partners, working and cooperating with them in an open and transparent manner, the Head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Rustam Badasyan said in an interview, referring to an article published by "Financial Times."

According to "Financial Times," against the backdrop of Western sanctions against Russia, the export of cars from Armenia to Russia in January 2023 increased 200 times compared to the same period in 2022, amounting to 180 million US dollars.

Badasyan noted that not all cars are under sanctions, explaining that there is also some inconsistency in the article.

He also mentioned that in 2019 there was also a very large flow of cars to Armenia, which had nothing to do with the sanctions.

“I don’t know which media, under the influence of which lobby publishes what materials, but we cooperate with our partners openly and transparently,” the official said.
