After the explosion of a fuel depot near Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert, 58 people with various degrees of burns were evacuated from Nagorno-Karabakh medical facilities by sanitary aviation flights of the Russian Aerospace Forces for specialized medical care in Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD).

It is noted that there are still 522 civilians, including 293 children, at the headquarters of the Russian peacekeeping troops Nagorno-Karabakh, and they currently cannot return to their homes. Accommodation, food, and medical care were arranged for them.

A strong explosion took place Monday evening in a gasoline depot near the Stepanakert-Askeran motorway, as a result of which many people died. The number of confirmed deaths is currently 68, and 21 of them have been identified. The number of injured persons is 290, of which 168 were transferred Tuesday to medical institutions in Armenia.
