Of all the 74,400 people that were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and came to Armenia, the Armenian government has provided 17,153 (23%) with housing. Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the press secretary of Armenia’s prime minister, said at a press conference.
Presenting data about the support so far provided by the Humanitarian Center stationed in Syunik marz, she said 55,240 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have been registered.
Nazeli Baghdasaryan said that 988 people were accommodated in Aragatsotn marz, 3665 in Ararat marz, 1231 in Armavir marz, 1542 in Gegharkunik marz, 663 in Lori marz, 4156 in Kotayk marz, 783 in Shirak marz, 1958 in Syunik marz, 1070 in Vayots Dzor marz and 1070 in Tavush marz.
She also noted that by the Prime Minister's decision, every resident of Artsakh, regardless of age, will be given support in the amount of 100,000 drams as a one-time payment.
As of 6 p.m., 74,400 forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh have arrived in the Republic of Armenia.
