On September 30, a rally took place in Yerevan to express solidarity with Ruben Vardanyan and other prominent figures from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) who were abducted by Azerbaijan.
Ruben Vardanyan, a former Minister of State in Artsakh, has made significant contributions to both Artsakh and Armenia, not only as a public servant but also as a philanthropist and entrepreneur. Tragically, he was captured by Azerbaijani forces on September 27, and he now faces baseless and fabricated charges.
Additionally, Azerbaijani media reported the detention of former Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan, with a criminal case initiated against him. Babayan had announced his intention to travel from Stepanakert to Shushi on September 28.
The reports also indicated that Azerbaijan had detained several other notable figures, including Levon Mnatsakanyan, a former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Arshavir Gharamyan, the former head of the Artsakh Security Council, and David Manukyan, a former Deputy Minister of Defense.
