On December 12, I was attending the Forum Against the Crime of Genocide when I received the news of the blockade. Gegham Stepanyan, the Human Rights Defender (ombudsman) of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), noted this on X, former Twitter.
“After 10 hellish months Artsakh was genocided by Azerbaijan. Who needs those forums & lengthy speeches if the international community always fails to prevent genocides?!” the Artsakh ombudsman added.
