In September and October, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) assisted in the evacuation of the wounded and medical patients from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia, and contributed to the reunification of families and ensuring a dignified treatment of the human remains, the ICRC informs.
A total of 220 human remains were transferred from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia; among them were mainly the victims of the explosion in a fuel depot.
There have been about 2,500 phone calls and visits from families of missing persons looking for their relatives or needing information.
A total of 25 people in Nagorno-Karabakh were able to contact their relatives in Armenia and other countries through video calls and phone calls.
And 124 wounded and medical patients were transferred from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.
