Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan held a joint meeting with the EU countries’ resident and non-resident ambassadors accredited to Armenia, as well as Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of EU Delegation to Armenia.

At the beginning of the talk, Deputy PM Khachatryan presented the measures being implemented by the Armenian government to address the primary needs of the Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the government. Khachatryan reflected in the importance of creating preconditions for the generation of own income through work for these forcibly displaced people, as well as the importance of an effective solution to the task of providing housing for them, and emphasized the need for assistance from the EU countries in this regard.

In turn, Deputy PM Grigoryan  presented to his EU colleagues the possible challenges that await Armenia in the context of various scenarios of possible regional developments, the ways to overcome them, and reflected on the matters on the agenda of Armenia-EU relations. In this connection, the Armenian official stressed, in particular, the implementation of Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, as well as the need for effective implementation of joint programs developed under the EU economic and investment plan. Also, Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia's desire and willingness to establish stable and lasting peace in its region.

Subsequently, the meeting continued in the format of questions and answers.
