The 12-month inflation in Armenia went down in November. Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, stated this at a press conference Tuesday.

According to him, this indicator was 0.5 percent. He added that the 12-month natural inflation in Armenia was zero percent.

"We expect zero inflation this year. External demand is slowing, while domestic demand remains high, which is associated with high levels of consumption. There is a certain decline in salary growth rates and inflation expectations," Galstyan noted.

The CBA chief explained that in the medium term, the 12-month inflation in Armenia will stabilize at the target level of 4 percent.

"The objective will be carried out by the end of next year," Galstyan emphasized.
