Strengthening our cooperation with the EU through civil society is also very important to Armenia. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, stated this during Thursday’s presentation of the summary report and official website of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform.

"Our cooperation with the EU has been expanding very intensively in recent times, and security has also become part of that dialogue. You know that Armenia has applied to become part of the European Peace Facility. This is another clear example of how the relations between Armenia and the EU are expanding.

The role of civil society is definitely very important in this matter. If in the long term we want to further develop these relations and put them on solid foundations, then relations with the EU should include civil society, economy, security, and other directions," stressed the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.

Also, Grigoryan expressed his belief that Armenia's relations with the EU will gradually strengthen.
