Armenia's membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is frozen. Andranik Kocharyan, an MP from the ruling majority Civil Contract Faction and Chair of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly of Armenia, told reporters this on Monday.

"The word 'frozen' means that it is frozen," he emphasized.

Kocharyan, however, did not comment on the reports about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s possible visit to Armenia.

In an interview with France 24 television, the Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan had said that the Collective Security Treaty had not been implemented in relation to Armenia, and therefore Yerevan has frozen its participation in the CSTO.
